The Boston Bolts' MLS Next Homegrown program, led by Sean Napier, provides elite youth players with a top-class training environment and consistent high-level competition, aiming to develop them for collegiate, national team, and professional soccer careers. Operating as a year-round program, the MLS Next Homegrown platform serves as the highest level of youth soccer in the country.

U13-U19 Elite Developmental Pathway

MLS NEXT Academy

The Boston Bolts' MLS Next Academy program is a nationwide youth soccer league that provides a highly competitive environment with a strong emphasis on player development, drawing in many of the top clubs across the country. Bolts Academy players receive unparalleled exposure to college coaches at national showcases, while still maintaining their eligibility to play High School soccer.

Our Boston Bolts NAL program is dedicated to providing players with the highest quality soccer resources, superior technical curriculum, competitive athletic programs and personal growth opportunities that support a successful future.

In collaboration with the United States' top academy clubs, the National Academy League (NAL) enables the Bolts to support their developmental pathways and offer high-level competition for players focused on achieving excellence, on and off the field.

We are excited to be the home of the Boston Bolts USL Academy program! The USL Academy League establishes a high-level pre-professional training environment year-round. It provides meaningful games in a national competition to aid in those players’ development & transition to that next level of the game, while allowing all clubs an opportunity to compete amongst each other in regionalized competition.

The Northeast Academy League (NEAL) serves as the exciting top tier of our competitive pyramid specifically for our U11 and U12 players. This specialized platform provides an accelerated development environment, offering high-level competition designed to prepare young athletes for the rigorous demands of MLS Next. Participation in this league offers a significant opportunity for players on the pathway to elite youth soccer, as they’ll gain invaluable experience playing against top teams in the Northeast.

We believe this approach instills confidence, fosters a growth mindset, and provides the best possible foundation for their future in the sport.
