Alumni
Historically, a significant portion of the USL League Two roster comprises former Bolts youth players, who return to the club to continue their development against top-tier competition. This unique integration ensures a seamless pathway for our alumni and current players, fostering continued growth and exposure to professional opportunities. Our most talented youth players, including those graduating from our MLS Next program, receive invaluable experience against top collegiate talent. Crucially, it also allows former Bolts youth players, currently competing in college, to return to their home club during the offseason. Here, they can maintain and elevate their game in a highly competitive environment, often training alongside and mentoring our younger academy prospects. The league’s summer schedule uniquely complements the collegiate season, offering elite development opportunities during the offseason. A primary reason to play in the USL League Two platform is its proven track record as a stepping stone, with over 70% of MLS SuperDraft selections since 2010 having USL League Two experience. Multiple Boston Bolts alumni have launched their careers from our USL League Two platform, including USMNT player Miles Robinson.
