#PATH2PRO
The Boston Bolts USL League Two team sits at the top of our player development pathway and provides a professional and highly-competitive opportunity for Bolts alumni and other talented players (age 18+) who currently play at top colleges and universities around the country.
USL2 continues to maintain its heritage as providing premier competition in an authentic national soccer environment. It is the gateway to stardom for those who prove they belong and have the desire to advance into the professional ranks, providing more than 70 percent of the players selected in the MLS Super Draft over the past 10 years.
Historically half of the USL League Two roster is comprised of Bolts youth alumni, while the other half is represented by top college players in the area. The USL League Two platform has provided players with an invaluable opportunity to prepare for the upcoming NCAA season. Over the past three years, four Bolts USL2 players have utilized the excellent playing environment as a springboard to help lead their team to NCAA National Championships.
The Boston Bolts are hosting open tryouts for the 2025 USL League Two team in March/April. Contact Kyle Ryan to express interest in playing with the 2025 team!

USL ACADEMY LEAGUE
VISION
With the launch of USL Academy, United Soccer League now has an elite youth platform to offer to its clubs in the Championship, League One, and League Two. As such, these clubs can now develop a more clearly-defined path for top youth prospects in their area to reach the professional level & sign directly with their senior team.
GOAL
This new structure for future USL Academy programs will provide USL clubs a progressive model to develop local players for the senior team, at a fraction of the cost of traditional pre-professional academies. Doing so will also allow far more clubs & communities to participate, allowing for a regional footprint that limits travel demand to teams & families
