USL2 Starting XI Entirely Consists of Bolts Alumni

All Eleven Are Alumni. The Dirty Water Derby Belonged to the Bolts.

When our USL League Two squad took on Boston City FC in the Dirty Water Derby, every single player in the starting XI was a product of the Boston Bolts youth academy. Not most of them. Not a strong contingent. Every. Single. One.

Players who are currently competing in the ACC and the Ivy League — some of the top collegiate conferences in the country — came together wearing the same shirt they grew up in. The result: a 4–2 victory and a statement about what this club represents.

This is not luck. This is culture.

Youth development isn’t a slogan at this club. It’s a kid who joins at U10, plays through the academy, earns a spot in a top college program, and then comes home to represent the club that built them. The Dirty Water Derby wasn’t just a win. It was eleven living examples of The Bolts Way.
