Bolts Elite Mindset
"I only ask this of you. I won't tell you off if you misplace a pass, or miss a header that costs us a goal, as long as I know you are giving 100%. I could forgive any mistake, but I won't forgive you if you don't give your heart and soul." - Pep Guardiola

Perfection is the enemy of progress.
Players should always hold themselves to high standards, and strive to be at their best. However, they should also remember that even players at the highest level make mistakes in every training session or game. An occasional poor pass or misplaced first touch does not make you a bad player, they count only as bad moments.
The best players are the best at accepting momentary failure and learning. If they miss a shot, they will still take the next one that opens up. If they miss two shots, they’ll learn from their mistakes, and put in some extra work on their shooting during training the following week. These players focus on the things they can control - their attitude and effort.
Coaches need to create an environment where mistakes in technical execution are accepted, identified in an appropriate way, and used as opportunities to learn and get better. This will help players maintain high levels of self-confidence on the pitch.
In return, players need to give their heart and soul for the team everyday. Whether it is Manchester City, or the Boston Bolts, this is something that every coach can demand from their players.
